Our Mission
Geek Bank's primary mission is to build a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for adults passionate about geek culture to connect, make genuine friendships, and find community. Founded by a couple who experienced firsthand how difficult it was to find like-minded social circles after moving to Derby, the group focuses on bringing people together—particularly neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ individuals—through shared interests like gaming, films, outdoor adventures, and social events.

Geek Bank proudly works with local businesses, independent venues, and cultural hubs throughout Derby. Through collaborative spaces—such as our special events hosted with QUAD—these local establishments help us bring our community together for incredible film screenings, meetups, and geek-culture celebrations.

Located in the heart of Belper, Dice & Barrel is our fantastic home for weekly board game nights and co-working Wednesdays!

From quizzes and geek PowerPoint nights to high-energy GeoGuessr marathons and beyond, their spacious function room gives us the ultimate home base in Derby to hang out, share conversation, and get competitive.
